We, the humble clothiers, seamstresses and tailors of the Kingdom of Atlantia, do beseech and petition Their Royal Majesties, King Ragnarr Blackhammer and Queen Kyneburh Boithuile, to create us Saint Anne’s Guild of Clothiers and grant unto us a Royal charter. The articles of the charter are these:
That the Guild shall accept as a member any person in the Kingdom of Atlantia expressing an interest in the arts and mysteries of costuming and all its myriad skills.
Also, that the Guild shall encourage the learning and demonstration of the arts and mysteries of costuming and all its related skills. The Guild shall organize classes, displays and competitions concerning the costuming arts. In addition, the Guild shall publicize other opportunities for learning, such as workshops, lectures or exhibits in the field of costuming and its related arts.
Also, that the Guild shall meet twice yearly, at Their Majesties’ Crown Tournament in both spring and autumn, to discuss guild affairs. An electronic forum shall be maintained for informal discussion. Guild members may also hold informal meetings within their local groups or regions in order to give and receive advice on projects.
Also, that the Guild shall maintain a bibliography to aid in research. A newsletter shall be published quarterly. Members of the guild shall be responsible for maintaining these resources on a volunteer basis. The affairs of the Guild shall be organized and initiated, but not governed, by one member to be selected on a volunteer basis.
These articles have been duly discussed and agreed upon by these, the founding members of Saint Anne’s Guild of Clothiers, namely:
